Terms of service

Last updated 3 November 2026. These terms are a plain-language starting point for Kevin Howard, trading as Launch Labs. Have them reviewed by a solicitor before you rely on them. If a written proposal disagrees with this page, the proposal wins for that job.

The website offer

The published website plan is £89 a month for up to 5 pages, as described on the websites page. We show a first design before any payment details are taken. If you decline it, you owe nothing, and you do not receive a licence to use the design.

Accepting the design, in writing or by paying the first invoice, starts the monthly plan. Hosting, the SSL certificate, one UK domain in your name, and the agreed pages are included while the plan is paid.

Other services

Business email, call answering, chat, social media and Google Business are the published prices for the scope described on this site. Anything larger is confirmed in writing before it starts.

Call agents and chat assistants follow a script or a source you have approved. They are tools for taking messages and giving information you have supplied. They are not professional advice, and they are not a person on the tools in an emergency.

Your material

You confirm that the words, logos and photographs you send are yours to use, or that you have permission. You keep ownership of that material. You give us a licence to use it for the work you have asked for, and to show the finished site to you.

We will not invent reviews, awards, or qualifications. If a claim cannot be stood behind, we will leave it out.

Our design

Until you accept and pay, the design remains ours. Once the plan is active, you may use the site for the business it was made for. If you cancel and the account is settled, we will export a copy of the site files you have paid for, so you can host them elsewhere. Hosting with us stops at the end of the notice period.

We may describe the kind of work we do. We will not publish your site as a client project unless you agree. The studies on the work page are concepts, not clients.

Price, invoices and notice

Prices are in pounds sterling. If VAT applies, it is confirmed in writing before you agree. Invoices are due as stated on the invoice, usually within 14 days. A monthly service can be stopped by either of us with 30 days’ notice, in writing, to hello@launchlabsites.co.uk or to the email we hold for you.

If an invoice is overdue we may pause hosting or the related service after a reminder. We will not hold a domain name that is registered in your name.

Domains

The website plan includes one UK domain — a .co.uk, or an equivalent if that ending is not available — registered in your name. We renew it while the plan is paid. If you cancel, the domain stays in your name and renewal becomes yours. A second domain, or a different ending, is charged at the registrar’s price.

Acceptable use

You will not ask us to publish material that is unlawful, defamatory, or dishonest, or to send bulk mail to people who have not asked for it. We may refuse work that we think would mislead a customer. The refusal is not a reason for a fee.

Liability

We will do the work with reasonable care. We do not guarantee search positions, follower counts, call volumes, or that a website will be uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or for any other liability that the law of England and Wales does not allow us to limit.

Subject to that, our total liability arising out of a service is limited to the fees you paid for that service in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will hear disputes, except that if you are a consumer you may also have the right to bring a claim in the part of the UK where you live.
