Privacy notice
Last updated 3 November 2026. This notice is written for a small UK studio and should be checked before you rely on it.
Who we are
Kevin Howard, trading as Launch Labs is the data controller for personal information sent through launchlabsites.co.uk. You can write to hello@launchlabsites.co.uk.
A company number will be published here if Launch Labs trades through a registered company.
A registered or studio address will be published here when one is used on the site.
If registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office is required, the registration number will be published here.
What we collect
If you email us, or use the contact or mockup forms, we receive the details you choose to send. That is typically your name, business name, email address, an optional phone number, the town, and the message itself.
The forms on this site do not send that information to a database we operate. They prepare an email to hello@launchlabsites.co.uk. Your own email provider, and ours, will process that message in order to deliver it.
If you become a client, we also keep the material needed to do the work: copy, photographs you supply, domain and hosting details, invoices, and the scripts for any call agent or chat assistant.
The hosting company for this website may keep ordinary technical logs, such as an IP address and the page requested, for security. We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles.
Why we use it
- To reply to an enquiry, which we do on the basis of legitimate interests, or because you asked us to take a step before a contract.
- To provide a service you have agreed to, which we do on the basis of contract.
- To keep invoices and business records, which we do because the law requires it, or because it is a legitimate interest.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it to train a public model. We do not send newsletters unless you have asked for them.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails that do not become work are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted, unless we need them for a shorter or longer period to deal with a dispute. Client records are kept for as long as the work continues and for up to six years after the last invoice, for accounting.
Who else sees it
Email and website hosts see information in the course of providing those services. A mailbox provider, a voice service, or a chat service will see the content needed to run the product you have asked for. We choose providers who can look after it, and we do not share it for their own marketing.
Some of those providers may store data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, and we will tell you which provider is involved before a service starts.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict it, or stop using it where the law gives you that right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
To use a right, email hello@launchlabsites.co.uk. We may need to confirm it is you. There is no fee for a reasonable request.
Photographs and other people’s data
Please don’t send us photographs of staff or customers, or a mailing list, unless you have a proper reason to share them and you have told the people concerned. We would rather not receive them.
